Hello, all!
My name is Anna Pool. I love to write, which is why I have this blog. I write about my life, mostly, but also other random things I find interesting. :)
I'm fifteen and a California native. Currently, I live in Southern California in this wonderful little place called Norco. I live with my family (obviously...) - my mom and dad, and my siblings. They're all younger than me - Jack, thirteen; Leah, twelve; and Luke, ten.
I also have a dog (wonderful little Boxer named Mango) and we own about thirteen chickens. I will not name them all, as that would take quite a bit of space. :) (Plus I don't even know all of their names.) I've always wanted a horse - they're my favorite animals - but even though we live in 'Horsetown, USA' I don't have one.
I'm homeschooled, which I love. My favorite subjects are history, science, writing and reading. Least favorites are math and grammar. Oh! And piano is also a favorite, but I don't know if I think of that as a subject per se. It's more something I do for fun. :)
I love to read. Often, I'll have to scour the house looking for something new to read. Don't ask me for my favorite book - it's like asking a parent to name their favorite child. I love Lord of the Rings, Left Behind (I read all thirteen books in three months!!), Percy Jackson, and a variety of other books. Genre-wise, I like historical fiction, fantasy (most of the time, anyways), and books about the Bible (like Slave and The Glory of Heaven by John MacArthur).
And then I love to read the Bible. Sometimes it's a little hard to read (especially the prophets) but recently I've been understanding it better - and it's awesome learning about the God who saved me. Asking me what my favorite Bible verse is kinda the same as asking me what my favorite book is. I like most of them... Recently, though (meaning the last year-ish) I've really liked Psalm 56:8.
You have taken account of my wanderings; Put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not in Your book?I'm in 10th grade (I'm a young tenth grader. Mom could've waited another year to start me in 1st grade, but she thought I was ready.) which is going pretty well. High school has gotten a little harder this year, but I'm doing pretty good on all of it (even math - yay!!)
This blog is my creative outlet. That sounds kinda cliche, and it is, but I can't really think of another way to put it. I 'got' this blog when I was seven years old because after reading through the archives of my mom's blog, I really wanted one 'all to myself'. The first few posts were really not what I post today - I was younger (obviously). Now I mostly focus on my life and other things that interest me.
Please enjoy!!
